Along the Chehalis River where the Wynoochee River meets, near M0ntesano Wa, . is a natural backwater that forms a beautiful pond. One of my favorite places to go. The beauty of this pond is striking and I wanted to post something showing the muted bare and dormant colors of the pond. It is home to more wildlife than you can believe. Look for a posting shortly on a Great Blue Heron I was able to find.
While the Olympic Peninsula is more known for the Spring and Summer months and the beauty of the area under it’s green canopy, the stark harsh natural state of the area in winter is my favorite. Here are a couple of quick clips of my little pond.
